MPC Capital is one of a handful of former German KG (limited partnership) issuing houses being forced to reinvent themselves and find a new business model to secure their future.
It reflects a switch in German shipping towards more professional, institutional investors, who want managers of their assets to have “skin in the game” and share the risk, says chief financial officer Constantin Baack.
