The company is said to have signed up for the 84,000-cbm vessel early this year and is set to take delivery of it in August next year.

Unique confirms the order, saying the newbuilding is a replacement ship for one of its principals.

The company did not disclose the identity of the charterer or the cost of the ship but market players suggest it to be around $75m as the vessel is being built to the old Tier II standards.
