Markos Foros, a senior manager at Chandris and a high-profile member of Greece’s shipping community, will stand trial in Cyprus over his activities there as a non-executive board member of failed lender Cyprus Popular Bank (Laiki).
Greece’s supreme court decided this week to extradite Athens-based Foros to the island nation, where local prosecutors accuse him of market manipulation and false statements to the investment public.
