Brokers say that for ships over 100,000 dwt both DSME and Samsung Heavy Industries (SHi) logged no new contracts.
And Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI)-controlled Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries recorded just four suezmax tankers — two coated 158,000-dwt vessels for Arab Maritime Petroleum Transport Co (AMPTC) and a pair of similar-size vessels for Turkey’s Ditas Shipping.
“It’s been pretty barren,” one broker said.
