By 2019 Australia is expected to have moved into the number one position as the world’s largest LNG producer, making it a more regular port call for LNG shipowners.

From 2020, the country is forecast to be producing 86-million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG — almost triple the 29.1 mtpa estimated production total for 2015 – from 10 liquefaction projects.
