The company is paying a premium of $2,000 per day over the current spot level but market sources suggest the downside for Hudson is fairly limited.
Hudson has taken the 78,000-dwt Ultra Panache (built 2011) from Ultrabulk for five to eight months at $8,100 per day.
The other ships taken are the 75,000-dwt Bariloche (built 2007), Dream Seas (built 2009) and Ocean Lion (built 2005), and 81,000-dwt Unity Liberty (built 2015).
