Greek authorities have seized a small, vintage products tanker and arrested its senior officers for allegedly carrying invalid ship documentation.

The 4,700-dwt Temeteron (built 1991) was arrested after an inspection at the port of Chania on the Greek island of Crete, the country’s coastguard said in a statement earlier this week.

The ship’s Latvian master (53) was arrested, alongside the 56-year-old Russian chief engineer and the Greek second engineer (54).
