A bulker captain has been fined for drunken navigation in Denmark.
The Nordjyske daily reported that a court in Hjorring levied a penalty of DKK 25,000 ($3,700) against the Polish master of NSC Holding's 93,000-dwt Tonic Sea built 2012.
He was at the helm when the ship was leaving Hirtshals in September 2015.
Police suspected drunken navigation and boarded the ship. The captain was found to have a high alcohol level.
