Euronav said it booked an $11.1m gain from the recent sale of a suezmax tanker.

The New York and Brussels-listed tanker giant confirmed that it sold the 146,000-dwt Cap Laurent (built 1998) for nearly $22.3m.

TradeWinds reported on 18 November that the deal had been done, though Euronav had been silent about the transaction until today.

The Paddy Rodgers-led shipowner, which has 52 tankers, said the deal had the effect of reducing availability on its $750m revolving credit facility by $11.5m.
