The US-listed company said French oil major Total had agreed to extend its charter of the 36,721-dwt Alkiviadis (built 2006).
Total subsidiary CSSA has also agreed to an increase in the charter rate of the vessel by $1,000 per day to $15,125 per day.
CPLP said the charter extension will commence in September 2015 with earliest charter expiration in August 2016.
As a result of the above time charter extension, CPLP’s charter coverage for 2015 and 2016 is 90% and 70%, respectively.
