A weak spot market for Viking’s platform supply vessels (PSVs) dragged the company’s loss to NOK 36m ($4.9m) versus NOK 19m in 2014.
PSVs owned by Viking earned £5,000 ($7,600) per day, down from £10,000 in the corresponding quarter.
Utilisation for this type of ship was only 33% down from 81%.
But Viking’s anchor handlers secured average daily rates of NOK 423,000, improving from last year’s NOK 390,000.
