The new containership company of the merged Cosco/China Shipping group has started the year with a big loss.
China Cosco Holdings Co (CCHC), part of CoscoCS, said its net deficit was CNY 4.48bn ($691m) to 31 March, against CNY 1bn in the same period of last year.
Revenue fell to CNY 14.6bn from CNY 18.17bn and it took a CNY 2.42bn hit from disposals including the sale of bulker owner Cosco Bulk Group to the unlisted parent.
