Pacific International Lines (PIL) of Singapore has tasked Yangzijiang Shipbuilding to construct up to eight 11,800-teu containerships.
In a deal first unveiled by TradeWinds on 1 September, the Chinese shipbuilder said it has successfully signed the contract with the boxship company.
The vessels will be 330-metre long and 48.2-metre wide with a draft of 13 metres.
TradeWinds has reported that the total value of the deal could be around $720m.
