The charterer of the 5,470-teu Maersk Tigris (built 2014) issued a statement on Wednesday saying the pledge was provided on Wednesday, and its officials had also enjoyed “constructive dialogue” with the Iranian courts and the Ports & Maritime Organization (PMO).
“We are continuing to do everything we can to assist in the safe release of the crew and vessel,” it added.
