That was the view today from Bart Kelleher, chief operating officer of Principal Maritime Management (Princimar), as ASBA’s annual Miami cargo conference got underway today before a record crowd of 240 delegates.
“There’s scepticism there for sure,” Kelleher said. “I think it’s been driven by weakness in other (operating) sectors and some of the negative headlines on China. I don’t think it reflects the fundamentals of business for crude owners.”
