The New York-listed bulker owner reported a consolidated net loss of $79.1m, which is larger than the $42.2m reported in the same period of last year, according to a quarterly report submitted to the US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) today.

But the net loss attributable just to the parent company, which factors in only is proportionate share of its New York-listed spin-off, amounted to $38.4m,
