Several handysize bulker sales emerged this week, with brokers reporting that Japan’s Orient Marine has unloaded a five-year-old vessel.
The Mitsui subsidiary is said to have bagged $7.8m for the 33,700-dwt Boronia K (built 2011).
The Shin Kurushima-built open hatch carrier is estimated to have a value of $8.62m, according to Seasure Shipbroking's VesselsValue, but brokers say a special survey was due.
